About the event
Volunteering
at the Fort Bragg Food Pantry is an active and engaging experience. If
you would like an opportunity to interact with the public, serve those
in need, and make friends, this is the place to be! At our location,
there is our Choice Pantry, Clothing Closet, Curbside Distribution, and a
Volunteer Kitchen. On a monthly basis, we serve emergency food and
weekly groceries to over 1500 households in our community. Our hours are from 8am to 4pm daily and until 5:30pm on Wednesdays.
What will volunteers do?
Volunteers will help us welcome and serve our clients in many ways.
- Greet clients as they come in to shop
- Restock the pantry shelves as needed
- Assemble Kids Bags
- Receive and sort donated food
- Repackage foods for distribution
- Help clients get groceries to their car
- Prepare dog and cat food bags
- Organize and sort clothes in the clothing closet
